  • The i3 CPU has two cores. Other dual cores lack an integrated GPU, while the i3 does. Other dual cores lack an inbuilt DMI, while the i3 does. Hyperthreading is available on the i3, but not on other dual cores.
  • Each generation of Intel Core CPUs begins with the Core i3 processor. Core i3 processors, on average, have fewer cores than higher-grade CPUs. This used to signify that Core i3 processors only had two cores, however in current versions, the number of cores on the desktop has increased to four.
