• Today, one of the most effective and efficient ways to communicate is over the Internet. The internet allows us to connect with a wide range of individuals and read news and information from across the world, whether through Facebook, Myspace, Yahoo, or another website.
• While the Internet has many positive aspects and can be quite beneficial, it can also be a source of danger. Teens use the internet on a daily basis, yet the majority are unaware of the risks. According to statistics, 10% of kids have had private chats with internet strangers via instant messaging on a regular basis, and 4% of teens have discussed meeting in person with a cyber-stranger.
