The iPhone 12's other distinguishing characteristics, such as an all-screen front, a cut-out area for the TrueDepth camera, and a rear camera panel with elevated lenses, are all there.
The camera has a unique design. As with the smaller iPhone 12, there are three cameras: wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto, as well as a flash and a LiDAR scanner to aid speed up autofocus, assist with augmented reality features, and enhance the capabilities of applications like Magnifier.
However, the Max features a wider camera with a larger sensor than the iPhone 12 Pro, and the telephoto lens has a longer focal length, giving it a 2.5x optical zoom equivalent. A 2x zoom equivalent is available on the
iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple had to use a larger lens on the wide and chose to widen the other lenses to match for cosmetic reasons. They're notably larger than the ones on the 12 Pro.
