Windows supports the IA-32, x86-64, IA-64, ARM, Alpha, MIPS, and PowerPC architectures.
  • Apple Incorporation created and owns the MACOS operating system. In 2001, MACOS was released. It's intended exclusively for Apple Mac computers.
  • Mac 12.0.1 is the most recent stable version (Monterey). Workstations, personal computers, and embedded systems are the system types it targets. The following computer architectures are supported: x86-64 (10.4.7-present), IA-32 (10.4.4-10.6.8), and PowerPC (10.0-10.5.8).
