  • Virtual desktops are preset representations of operating systems and programmes that are separated from the physical hardware that is used to access them. Users can connect to their virtual desktops from anywhere on the network. A virtual desktop can be accessed from any endpoint device, such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet. The virtual desktop service provider instals client software on the endpoint device, which the user then interacts with.
  • A virtual desktop has the appearance and feel of a physical workstation. Because strong resources, including as storage and back-end databases, are easily available, the user experience is often even better than on a physical desktop.
  • Depending on how the virtual desktop is configured, users may or may not be able to save changes or permanently install applications. Users have the same experience with their desktop every time they log in, regardless of which device they are using.
