  • To crop an image in Paint, simply choose the area you wish to crop and delete the rest. Click the 'Select' tool on the Home tab of the ribbon, move the mouse over the image area to select the part you wish to keep, then click 'Crop' in the ribbon.
  • Large pictures, such as photos, might be difficult to crop since they may not fit on your computer screen without scrolling. You shouldn't resize an image since you want to keep its resolution, especially if it's a photo. You can view a scaled-down version of the image as a workaround. Click 'Zoom Out' on the View tab until the image is small enough to fit on your screen. You can now crop the image to your desired size.
