Yes , it is possible to convert a presentation into a video:

  • When you record a presentation, all of its elements are saved in the presentation itself (narration, animation, pointer movements, timings, and so on). In essence, the presentation becomes a PowerPoint video that your audience may view.
  • So you have two possibilities for making a ready-to-view video out of your presentation:
  • Export/save your presentation as a video file (.mp4 or .wmv).
  • Make a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) file of your presentation. (In Slide Show, a PowerPoint Show appears full-screen and is ready to view right away.)
  • Select Save from the File menu to ensure that all of your recent work is saved in PowerPoint presentation format (.pptx).
  • Select File > Export > Create a Video from the File menu. (Alternatively, click Export to Video on the Recording tab of the ribbon.)
