What problem does Twitter solve?

  • Twitter's mobile app is almost certainly more popular than the desktop site. That should not deter Twitter from keeping the latter up to date. Tweets are displayed in one column, leaving blank space on the left and right sides of the page.
  • Users reported that Twitter banned them based on which political party they supported. Despite the fact that this is a problem, the site could do more to block accounts that send abusive remarks to other users.
  • Twitter users confront one significant issue: they wish to represent a company, topic, or area of interest. This makes it difficult for Twitter to suggest subjects and interests to its users. For the same reasons, Google+ failed. It was too late by the time it decided to develop 'collections' of interests.
