  • Snapchat is a visual social networking platform that allows users to send and receive short-lived photos and videos. Snapchat is jam-packed with tools to help you increase audience engagement and brand visibility. But first, let's go over some important Snapchat lingo.
  • A Snap is a picture or video that you send through the app to one or more of your friends. It has been available to all users since day one. A video snap can only be 60 seconds long (known as a Long Snap). Snapchat does not keep any photo or video content after the recipient has viewed it, as was the case with the app's initial feature.
  • Snaps that you'd like to share with all of your Snapchat pals are called Stories. The app keeps stories for 24 hours before deleting them. You can download your Story to your device's camera roll or save it to Memories if you want to save it.
  • Custom Stories allows you to collaborate with other individuals on your friends list to produce Stories.
  • Snapstreak A Snapstreak (or Streak) is a count of how many days you and a friend have shared Snaps in a row. A flaming emoji will appear next to your friend's name, along with a number indicating how many days the Streak has lasted.
