The Indian Institute of Heritage in Noida would be designated by the government.
The Indian Institute of Heritage will be established in Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, by the
government. This will have an impact on higher education and research in the field of rich Indian legacy and preservation, going to lead to Masters and Ph.D. training in
History of Arts, Conservation, Museology, Archival Studies, Archaeology, Preventive Conservation, Epigraphy and Numismatics, Manuscriptology, and preservation training center for the institution's in-service students and employees.

This institute is being established as a university by combining the Institute of Archaeology (Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology), the School of Archival Studies under the
National Archives of India in New Delhi, the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property (NRLC) in Lucknow, the
National Museum Institute of History of Art, Conservation, and Museology (NMICHM), and the Academic Wing of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
