Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari, who had just been nominated as the Acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, has been named as the High Court's Chief Justice.
Munishwar Nath Bhandari is a judge from India. He is now the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. He has held the positions of Acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court and Allahabad High Court. He has also been a judge of the Rajasthan High Court.
On July 5, 2007, he was nominated to the Rajasthan High Court as a Judge. On March 15, 2019, he was appointed as a Judge of the Allahabad High Court. On June 26, 2021, he was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court.
He was moved to Madras High Court on November 16, 2021, and took charge as Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court on November 22, 2021. He was appointed Chief Justice of the Madras High Court on February 1, 2022. He was sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of the famous Madras High Court on February 14, 2022. At Raj Bhavan in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi administered the oath of office to Justice Bhandari, who also was invested in by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.
