- There is a widespread belief that Macs are inherently more expensive than Windows PCs. Macs are quite pricey, and there isn't much variety in terms of design; basically, Apple exclusively makes high-end machines, which is why you won't buy a new Mac for less than $700. However, high-end PCs are equally as expensive as most Macs, and some are even more expensive than entry-level Macs, so it's not fully accurate to state that Macs are always more expensive than PCs.
- When comparing the lifespan of a PC with a similarly high-end build to that of a Mac, you may discover that there isn't much of a difference. If enhanced lifetime is your primary motivation for converting to Mac, you might be better off investing in a better PC rather than switching from Windows to Mac.
