  • Don't get rid of Chrome= It will be required to import your bookmarks and other information. If you wish to save Google Chrome open tabs, bookmark them all in a convenient area, such as a new 'Open Tabs' folder in the Bookmarks bar. Firefox can be downloaded and installed through Mozilla's download website. If Chrome is still open, close it.
  • Open Firefox, which you've just installed. The import tool will appear on the screen.
  • If it doesn't, go to the menu button, pick Bookmarks, scroll down to Manage Bookmarks, and then click Import and Backup, then Import Data from Another Browser from the menu.
  • In the Import Settings and Data window, select Chrome. Choose the items you want to import on the next screen. Firefox will take care of the rest if you follow the prompts.
  •  If you saved your open tabs in Google Chrome, open them in Firefox by going to the 'From Google Chrome' folder in the Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar, selecting the 'Open Tabs' folder you made, and clicking Open All in Tabs.
