Morris, a right-arm pacer and exploding batter made his Test debut in 2016 and played only 4 games in the original version, scoring 173 runs and taking 12 wickets. He played four Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20 Internationals for South Africa, taking 48 and 34 wickets in both. Morris managed to score 467 runs in ODIs and 133 runs in T20Is with the bat. Morris appeared in the IPL for the Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings franchises. When he was owned by Chennai Super Kings for a total of Rs 3.32 crore in the 2013 players' auction, he turned out to be the largest recipient among South African cricket players in the IPL.
