Apple publishes updates on a regular basis to repair faults and add new features. Because Safari is a native iOS programme, the only way to update it is to upgrade your iPhone. For the most part, iOS 11.1 fixed this bug, so if you're on an older version of iOS, be sure to update to 11.1 or higher.

  • Open Settings and select General -> Software Update from the drop-down menu.
  • If an iOS update is available, tap Download and Install.
  • Open Safari after the update is complete to test if it works properly.
