Safari for macOS has been updated.
Safari updates are usually included with new macOS releases. However, Apple does periodically provide standalone Safari security patches and additional features via the same Software Update menu.
To get the most recent version of Safari, go to:
  • Software Updates can be found in System Preferences.
  • If a new version is available, select Update Now.
Safari caches should be cleared.
You may empty Safari's caches for a more powerful Safari cleanup that will remove old data and website settings.
You should delete Safari cache files while your Mac is in Safe Mode to avoid Safari crashing and to ensure that it has a greater effect in addressing any potential errors:

  1. Turn off your Mac.
  2. While holding Shift Log in (or selecting Continue in), turn your Mac.
  3. Safe Boot should now appear in the menu bar.
  4. Select Go to Folder... from the Finder's menu bar. (Shift + G)
  5. Delete all files in the /Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/ folder by typing: /Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/
  6. To escape Safe Mode, restart your Mac.
