Steps to Fix it:

What should I do in Windows 10 if the PDF file name is too long and the Windows options don’t give me the possibility to rename it?

  • Attempt to open the file. Use 'Save As' to save it with a shorter name once it has opened. 
  • If the file does not open after double-clicking it, choose 'Edit with Adobe' if you are using Adobe. Then you may use method 1 to save it with a new, shorter name or method 2 to save it with a new, longer name.
  •  or Open a registry editor (regedit.exe)
  • HKEY LOCAL MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem is the location to look for.
  • LongPathsEnabled should be double-clicked.
  • Set the value to 1 and click OK.
  • Reboot.
