- In February 2022, Microsoft released the first major update for Windows 11, which included several new features. There are improved taskbar capabilities, updated Notepad and Media Player apps, and a public preview of native Android app support among them.
- This was created to blend in with the rest of the Windows 11 user interface. It supports both light and dark modes, and when altering brightness using keyboard keys, the same sliders show. A new in-progress call window for the Your Phone companion app, more on-screen keyboard styles, and the ability to uninstall the clock are also included in this release.
- Although the Microsoft Teams integration has had mixed reviews, it now works with the Edge browser as well. Individual tabs are now shown in Task Manager, along with GPU and crashpad data. The site, icon, and topic name will also appear on taskbar tabs, albeit during private browsing sessions, the site, icon, and topic name will be replaced with a generic icon.
