- The iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 both have a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with a resolution of 2532 x 1770 and employs OLED technology. This corresponds to a pixel density of 460 pixels per inch. However, the iPhone 13 has a display with a maximum brightness of 800 nits, up from 625 nits on the iPhone 12.
- On the iPhone 13, the notch cutout that contains the Face ID sensors is somewhat smaller than on the iPhone 12. According to Apple, the notch on the iPhone 13 is about 20% lower in width but somewhat longer in height.
- The iPhone 12 is equipped with Apple's A14 Bionic chipset, whilst the iPhone 13 has the latest and most powerful A15 Bionic chip. Both devices come with 4GB of RAM. The A14 and A15 Bionic chips both have 6-core CPUs with two performance cores and four efficiency cores.
- The A15 Bionic, on the other hand, outperforms the A14 Bionic in terms of battery life and efficiency. According to Apple, the iPhone 13 lasts up to 2.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12, thanks to the efficiency of the A15 Bionic processor and a physically larger battery.
