- Before you uninstall WhatsApp from your phone, make a backup of your messages using the Chat Backup feature.
- To reinstall WhatsApp, follow these steps.
- On the Home Screen, press and hold the WhatsApp symbol until the icons begin to wiggle.
- In the corner of the WhatsApp symbol, tap the x.
- To delete the app and all of its data, tap Delete.
- Press the Home button to return to the previous screen.
- Reinstall WhatsApp on your device from the App Store.
