BRICS summit is the acronym coined to associate five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. All BRICS members are known for their significant influence on regional affairs. After 2009, the BRICS nations have met annually at formal summits. And Brazil hosted the most recent 11th BRICS summit on 13–14 November 2019.
If you know about BRICS or what its origin is then the "BRIC" is believed to be coined in 2001 by then-chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Jim O'Neill, in his publication Building Better Global Economic BRICs.
