We can’t stop any country to form duplicate products but we will stop ourselves or save ourselves from buying these products by boycotting these products. I do know it's tough , because these duplicate products are easily available at cheapest price in our local markets but it are often done if you purchase your country products, our country also needs improvement because if China make such products in cheapest price than why can’t we. Actually this answer isn't as easy as you think that because its put question on our government too and its strategy of works also.
China makes world class products. China is that the factory or distributor of the planet . All the developed western Countries trade from China because they themselves are unable to match the worth at which China produces.
In India what can we do is , we trade the most cost effective possible variant of the merchandise and compromise on the standard . let's imagine a product like mixer grinder, Americans would import at 20 to 25 dollars while in India we buy this product made in china model at 10 dollars.
Most probably an iPhone ( fully or major components) is additionally manufactured in China.
Having said that, I don’t mean that they're not buyers of excellent quality in India. Its just that bulk of our manufactured in china products are bought at ridiculously low price and thus they're low in quality.
As our PM said in his inspiring Independence Day speech , we should always aspire to manufacture quality products with zero defect and 0 (environmental) effect.
In my opinion if you would like to assist your country first you try to avoid Chinese products.
