1. Navigate to the Google Search Console page.
- If necessary, log in or select 'Start Now.'
2. In the search drop-down, select 'Add a property.'
- Your Google Search Console account can hold up to 1000 properties.
3. Choose a property type, type in your website address, and click 'Continue.'
4. To expand the option, click the arrow next to 'HTML tag.'
5. Take a copy of the meta tag.
The complete meta tag code should be highlighted. Right-click on the highlighted tag and select 'Copy,' or use the ctrl-c Windows or cmd-c Mac copy shortcuts. To add your site to Google Search Console, we only need the long line of characters inside the content part.
