Pancake is a type of flattened sweet bread cake that is appreciated by many civilizations of the world. Its method of preparation may be different, but almost all the methods contain flour, egg, and milk. It can be eaten plain, with butter, by splashing sugar or filled with pastries, fruits, or cheese.
You can make a pancake at home, feed it to family members for breakfast, or even give it to the children's lunch box. Believe that your children will like it very much and will also be happy to see something new in tiffin.
Ingredients
2 cups (255 grams) plain flour
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups (350 mL) milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil
5 tablespoons sugar
Method
Break the egg in a bowl and whisk it until it becomes soft. Add dry ingredients and milk to it. Do not stir the mixture at this time.
Melt butter in a microwave oven. Keep in mind that it has melted well and a minute is enough for this.
.Mix butter and milk in the mixture. Mix lightly so that small pieces of dry ingredients remain in it. Do not make this mixture too soft. If your mixture is soft, the pancakes will be hard and sticky instead of soft.
Now keep the pan on a low flame. If you already have a pancake setting in the stove, use it. Be sure to add non stick spray or butter to the pan, otherwise the pancakes will start sticking.
Sprinkle a few drops of water on the pan. If it drops down from the pan, then your pan is ready to be added.
Now put 3 tablespoons of the mixture on the hot griddle. The amount of mixture you add will determine the size of your pancake. It is advisable to start with a little mixture first and then increase it slowly.
Cook it for about 2 minutes or until the pancake turns light brown. You will see bubbles forming and bursting at the edges. When the bubbles on the sides of the mixture leave the hole, flip it over.
Now cook on the other side till it becomes light brown and remove. You can cook the pancake for another 30 seconds until it is as per your taste.
Now enjoy it. You can also add butter, peanut butter, syrup, jelly, chocolate chip or fruit for a different and exciting taste. You would never have eaten such delicious pancakes.
