The search warrant is an order signed by a judge that authorizes police officers to search for specific objects or materials at a definite location. In most countries, a search warrant cannot be issued in aid of civil process.

Often a search warrant is a court order issued by a magistrate, judge or court. And it authorizes any law enforcement officers to search a person, place or vehicle for evidence of a crime and seize illegal objects or evidence of a crime.
