Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh “Bhupesh Baghel” inaugurated 'Jan Chaupal' program at ‘Raipur’ in Chattisgarh.

What is Jan Chaupal program and which state has launched it?

The concept of 'Jan Choupal' program has been adapted from our ancestors in the village who used to practice this. Villagers used to gather at a place and solve the issues faced by them. All people can come and discuss their issues in order to resolve them. However, under this proposed program, the public meetings will be held once every week to discuss the issues of the people.

This has been the first such interaction the Chattisgarh Chief Minister held with the citizens. He put forward the sympathetic ear to the concerns raised by the citizens and gave the necessary directive to the officials present in the gathering of Jan Chaupal to resolve them. The issues raised by the attendees during the interaction was mainly related to the financial help for medical cases and education, irregularities in recruitment, lack of irrigation facilities, livelihood, presence of liquor shops near schools, and other issues as well.

In the meeting gathering of Jan Chaupal, Cabinet Ministers Ravindra Choubey, Mohammed Akbar, Guru Rudra Kumar, MLA Kuldeep Juneja, and Mayor Pramod Dubey were also present. The Deputy Secretary to the Chief Minister and Public Relations Department Commissioner cum Director ‘Taran Sinha’, has made the announcement of introducing a ‘Jan Chaupal’ program website. The Website has been launched by the Chief Minister with the web address as www.janchaupal.cg.nic.in.
