The proposed program will feature discussions over challenges faced by the start-ups, fund-raising companies, access to venture capital funds, and tax planning, among other things. It may be introduced on one of the existing channels on the ‘Doordarshan’ Network or may introduce a completely new channel to fulfill the purpose. It is expected that this might serve as a platform for promoting start-ups, discussing issues affecting their growth, matchmaking with venture capitalists, and for funding and tax planning.

In the budget, she also said that the startups and investors who file requisite declarations will not be subjected to any kind of scrutiny in respect of valuation of share premium. With this initiative, the process of e-verification will be put in place and with this, the funds raised by the startups will not come under any type of tax scrutiny.
