Adam Smith (1723-1790) is widely regarded as the "Father of Economics" by economists around the globe. He is known to be the first economist with whose writings, today's economists trace their teachings. Adam, Smith was a pioneer in economics, philosopher and political analyst who wrote on political economics in his book- "Wealth of the Nations", He belonged to Scotland and was off Scottish origin. 

The 18th-century economist is known as the major champion of laissez-faire economic policies. He is known to have written the earliest economic concepts in modern times which lays the very foundation of today's diversified Economics. He was also known as the leading figure during the Scottish enlightenment period and presented the capitalist economic model for the first time for which he is also accepted as the "Father of Capitalism."
