Answer: The Indian Football team won the 2018 International Cup title. It defeated the finalist Kenya to lift the coveted title trophy. It was a 4 team association football tournament in which the following teams had participated :-

- Kenya

- New Zeland

- India

The tournament was sponsored by Hero and the full name of the tournament was Hero Intercontinental Cup. It was held in Mumbai City. Earlier South Africa was also to be part of this tournament but it expressed it's the inability to participated and that's Kenya's name was included. The final was played on 18 June 2018 between India and Kenya. India defeated Kenya by 2-0.

This was Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri's 100th match. He had tweeted for more audience to gather and it was endorsed by other players like Virat Kohli. It was declared the golden tweet of 2018 getting most response that year.
