Indore has been declared as the cleanest city in the country for the third time in the results of the cleanliness survey. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the award to Indore Mayor Malini Goud, Leader of Opposition Fauzia Alim and Urban Administration Minister Jayawardhan Singh at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.

The city received 4659.09 out of 5 thousand. Indore was supposed to get three awards at the ceremony. These included one award ranking, second five star rating and third award for organizing the innovative category (Vayaz of Syedna).

The team from Delhi for the survey also took a long time for the survey. Throughout the week, the team camped in Indore and closely inspected the cleanliness. Despite this, the arrangement remained tight and the sweepers cleaned till late in the night. The Ministry of Urban Development has surveyed 4237 cities. The selection of top-10 cities in so many cities was also a big challenge for the ministry. The survey is of 5000 marks.
