Periodic updates containing carrier network and pertinent parameters are also sent by carriers or network service providers to improve cellular network connection and performance. When Apple publishes a new iOS version, carrier upgrades are frequently released as well. As a result, your iPhone's carrier services will be compatible with the new iOS platform. It's a different upgrade from the ones Apple has released.
Make sure your iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network before manually checking and installing a carrier settings update:

  1. From the Home screen, choose Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. To learn more, go to About.
If an update is available, you will be requested to change your carrier settings.
To finish the carrier settings update on your iPhone 7, follow the onscreen prompts. Restart your iPhone 7 when the update is complete to check if things have improved.
