When a new firmware update is installed, a
soft reset or device reboot is strongly advised to effectively apply or execute the new changes. It also removes minor flaws and addresses network issues caused by recent platform changes. If you haven't already
, reboot your iPhone or conduct a soft reset using the following steps:
- Hold down the Power button until you get the Slide to Power Off message.
- To totally turn off your gadget, drag the slider.
- Press and hold the Power button for another 30 seconds, or until the Apple logo displays.
This will have no effect on any of your data saved on the internal memory, therefore no backup is required.
