Temperatures that are extreme
Like you, your iPhone performs best at ambient temperature. If you expose it to extreme temperatures — too cold or too hot — it might suffer irreversible hardware damage, which could show as freezing or overheating. The temperature has an effect on the battery. It should only be used between the temperatures of 62° and 72° F (16° and 22° C). Heat or an ambient temperature exceeding 95° F (35° C) should be avoided. It can be permanently damaged if exposed to temperatures exceeding 95° F (35° C). If the battery is exposed to too much cold, the same thing happens.
Streaming graphics-heavy content for an extended period of time should be avoided.
Your iPhone was made to watch videos. However, watching movies for long periods of time might cause the system to overheat as it tries to keep up with the demand. The CPU might create heat that exceeds the tolerance limits of your phone. Freezing and overheating are common symptoms when this happens. Allow the phone to cool for a few hours to avoid overheating the system.
