Why does your iPhone 8 notifications to play in silent mode and how to fix it

One of the issues that have irritated a number of iPhone 8 customers is that alerts continue to play even when the device is switched to mute or silent mode. And this is the primary issue I addressed in this context. It appears to be a software issue that occurs not only on the iPhone 8 but also on previous iOS devices.

1. Solution
   The ring/silent switch on your iPhone is located in the upper left corner of the screen. This switch let you to choose between silent and ringer modes. Using this option, you may choose which noises to play over your iPhone's speaker. Toggling this setting can help resolve minor difficulties with your iPhone's audio output, such as weird notifications. Having said that, try turning on this switch for a few seconds and then switching back to silent mode.
   1. To activate Ring Mode on your iPhone 8, slide the switch so that the orange is not visible.
   2. To activate Silent Mode on your iPhone 8, slide the switch to the orange position.
   If you don't want to hear your device's notification sounds, set it to silent mode.
