  • Look for evidence of damage, such as breakage or bent prongs, on your charging cable and USB adaptor. Don't utilize accessories that have been damaged. A USB wall adapter with a Lightning to USB converter
    • Check for solid connections between your charging cable, USB wall adapter, and wall outlet or AC power cord using a wall power outlet, or try a different outlet.
    • Remove any dirt from your device's charging port on the bottom, and then firmly insert your charging cable. Your smartphone will most likely require service if the charging port is damaged.
    • Allow a half-hour for your smartphone to charge.
    • If your device is still unresponsive, try the following steps to force it to restart:
  • iPhone 8 or later, as well as the second-generation iPhone SE: Quickly press and release the Volume Up button. Quickly press and release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
Allow another half-hour for your smartphone to charge.
