- Go to Settings>General>Reset from the Home screen.

You're effectively pushing the phone to discard changes that occurred after it was unboxed if you reset all the settings. This technique will not remove any of your personal data, such as images or movies, therefore it is completely safe to use. We still recommend that you back everything up though before doing it.
After the phone has been reset to its normal settings, keep an eye on it to see whether it is overheating or draining the battery.
