This function on your iPhone 6s will help you maximize your battery life and allow you to push your device to its limits. It's called Low Power Mode, and it's one of iOS 9's new features. On all iPhones running iOS 9, Low Power Mode is available.

When your phone's battery power drops below 20%, you'll be requested to enable this option. The function works by lowering the phone's performance and turning off some background services, allowing you to extend your phone's battery life by up to three hours. It is, indeed, a really handy function, particularly if you will not be able to charge your iPhone very soon.

You'll be given the option to Continue or Cancel when the Low Power Mode popup occurs. The function will be enabled if you want to continue; otherwise, it will be disabled.

Manually enabling/disabling Low Power Mode on your iPhone 6s requires simply a few steps (just in case you want to stretch your battery life further). This is how it's done:

  1. Go to the Settings section of your phone.
  2. Choose Battery from the drop-down option.
  3. Toggle the Low Power Mode switch on or off to enable or disable it.
  4. When the battery symbol becomes yellow, it signifies your smartphone is already in Low Power Mode.
  5. When your iPhone reaches a particular level of charge, such as 60%, Low Power Mode will be disengaged automatically.
While this function is beneficial in terms of lowering battery usage, it might make some of your phone's more demanding apps and services sluggish. The reason for this is that when Low Power Mode is engaged, the iPhone's CPU performance is drastically decreased.

Automatic download or fetching of fresh emails is blocked when Low Power Mode is engaged on your iPhone. and screen brightness is lowered. Animations, including motion effects and live wallpapers, are also disabled
