It's intended exclusively for Apple Mac computers. The operating system is based on Unix. C, C++, Objective-C, assembly code and Swift were used to create it. After Windows, it is the second most popular operating system for personal computers. Apple released the initial version of macOS in 2001. 10.15.1, often known as Catalina, is the most recent stable version of macOS.
