According to the Forbes list, the estimated Net worth of an Indian Industrialist Gautam Adani is about $8.7 Billion by August 2018. He is an Ahmedabad based multinational Industrialist and the Chairman and Founder of the ‘Adani Group’.

The main work of Adani Group is in Port Development and Operations in India. He is also the Founder of ‘Adani Foundation’ which is mainly led by his wife ‘Priti Adani’. The Adani Group was founded by him in the year 1988 and slowly expanded his business into Logistics, Energy, Agriculture, Resources, Defence and Aerospace, and other fields. He had ownership in various industries namely, Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, Adani Enterprises, Adani Power, and Adani Transmission. He controls India’s Largest Mundra Port, in his home state of Gujarat. He got the ports contract in the year 1995 by the Government of Gujarat. The Adani Group won the distribution rights in August 2018, to supply piped Cooking Gas and Compressed Natural Gas for automobiles in 21cities.

Gautam Adani is a self-made industrialist. He was born on June 24, 1962, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in a Baniya Family. His father was a Textile Merchant. He completed his Schooling in Ahmedabad as well, but he is a college dropped out after the second year. He was very keen on business, but don’t want to do his father’s textile business. So, after working in Mumbai for 2-3 years as a Diamond Sorter, he established his own Diamond Brokerage firm at ‘Zaveri Bazaar’, Mumbai. After that, in the year 1981, he started working with his brother in a Plastic Unit and for him, this turned to be a Global Gateway trading through Polyvinyl Chloride (PVL) imports. After this, he didn’t look back and gained a lot of work through his hard work and sheer determination.
The Adani Foundation also working as the Corporate Social Responsibility since 1996. The foundation works in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Orrisa and Gujarat as well. The foundation works on the various sectors like Education, Community Health, Rural Infrastructure Management, and Sustainable Livelihood Management .
