Sunil Manohar ‘Sunny’ Gavaskar is a former Indian cricketer who played 125 Test matches and scored 10,122 runs with an average of 51.12. He was born on 10 July 1949 in Mumbai. He holds the many records during his careers like most test runs and most number of test centuries, he is regarded as the greatest test man and best opening test batsman in the cricketing history.

Gavaskar is a recipient of the Indian civilian honors of the Padma Shri and therefore the Padma Bhushan. In 2012, he was awarded the pass CK Nayudu lifespan action Award for Cricket in India
. Gavaskar first debut in the test career against West Indies and scored 65 and 67 not out in the second Test in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, hitting the winning runs which gave India its first-ever win over the West Indies.
