Dr. Karan Singh, the Chairman of the ICCR, presented the book to the President, who formally launched it. Munger through the Ages displays the district's rich history and legacy, as well as its physical and demographic characteristics. The book also discusses Munger's management in the early days of independent India, as well as many facets of the city's current issues.
Devendra Prasad Yadav's biography:

- He was the Chairman of the Government of India's Central School Organization (1971 - 1977)
- As a member of Parliament, he was instrumental in the drafting of the
Panchayati Raj Act and the Mandal Commission Report.
- He was born on January 12, 1937, in Sandalpur, Munger (Bihar), and his father gave him the
moniker gajadhar, which means 'one who can raise an elephant.'
