Taare Zameen Par is a very famous and out of the box Bollywood movie which revolves around a 11-13 years old school-going kid who is burdened by the expectations of his parents to score well in the examinations. However, he isn't one of those meritorious kids and also lags behind a little in understanding things textually. Therefore, his new teacher, Amir Khan notices these different characteristics of the child and uses innovation and new techniques to make him learn and excel in the choice of his field.
A lot of things from Taare Zameen Par have been impactful :
- For the parents- There are times in everyone's lives when the children are burdened with expectations to perform outstandingly well in academics or some other fields; this creates a negative psychological impact on their minds. Thus, the film gives a message to parents to be more 'kind and patient' in dealing with their children. Also, if the child is facing any kind of mental lethargy or weird inability, don't pressurize or blame him/her in a negative way. Just consult a counsellor or any of his friends/favorite elder for the same. Make yourself your child's best friend so that he turns to you first in case any circumstances arise.
- For the teachers- This movie has very clearly shown the kind of impact both 'helpful' and 'non-helpful' teachers can have on children's lives. It is very important for a teacher to be kind and gentle in his/her approaches. If they notice something different/unusual they have to inform the parents immediately; not as a complaint BUT as a kind notice.
- For the children- Sometimes children do not/are not able to communicate whatever is going on in their minds with their parents. In this situation, they might sit in a peaceful and relaxed environment to have a chat with their parents and then slowly slip it in the conversation about how they have been feeling. If their parents are expecting something then inform them politely about the current situation and how their expectations align/do not align with it.
The movie leaves a positive impact in our minds as it shows the real & practical situations in academic life. Whether we believe it or not but every slight warning, every little abuse, every minute raising of voice leaves an impact of some kind in our brain. They trigger our emotions and when we are unable to express them/let them out, they get suppressed for years resulting in disturbing consequences.
Thus, this movie teaches how to enter a human's life with a very optimistic and positive approach from his very early years.
