Railroads Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu on 13 June 2017 propelled Mission Retro-Fitment to improve the travelers encounter by redesigning existing armada of mentors with better outfitting, feel and pleasantries and better security highlights to give a sheltered and agreeable travel. 
Revamped mentors will have world class atmosphere alongside LED Lights, secluded toilets with hid plumbing, marked fittings, controlled venetian blinds, Anti-Graffiti covering, Fire and Smoke Detection System, Bio toilets, Braille Signage, expanded number of versatile/workstation charging focuses, and so forth.
• Mission Retro-Fitment is a yearning project to overhaul the level of outfitting and enhancements in the mentors of Indian Railways.
• This is one of the biggest retro fitment venture on the planet as Indian Railways will repair and retrofit 40000 mentors by 2022-23.
• It will give better travel understanding as the insides of the mentors will be restored and the retrofitment of Center Buffer Coupler with adjusted draft apparatus will add more to security of the travelers.
• This mission is trying as it will be done without influencing the movement task.
• The inexact cost for revamping and refitting a mentor is Rs 30 lakhs.
• 57 mentors have just been repaired by Coach Rehabilitation Workshop of Bhopal.
• Some of the repaired mentors are running in Varanasi on New Delhi Mahamana Express since January 2016.
