Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi renowned as IIT BHU is considered as the supreme college of India. Established in the year 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College its name got changed in the year 1968 and later it earned the status of Indian of Technology in the year 2012. There 13 departments in the Institute of Technology and three inter-disciplinary schools.

Procedure to get admission in IIT Varanasi:
So to get admission in any of specialized engineering courses aspirants have to sit for JEE Main which is an all India level qualifying exam. The admission in all undergraduate programs is based on the score and all India rank of the aspirants in the JEE Main exam.
Apart from the all India rank, a student must have scored at least 75% marks in the intermediate from a renowned a school.
