“Know nothing party”
Established in the year 1850 the “Know nothing party” was alternatively renowned as the American party. In the year 1844 riots began between Nativists and the Irish immigrants in which a school and two eclectic churches were burned down. Know nothing party was then a firm party which was against the Irish immigrants. Later in 1854, the Know-nothing party collaborated with the Whigs which was a sound political party of America and right after a year of collaboration they switched their names to American party from “Know nothing party”.

“Free soil party”
It was a concise party of USA during 1848-1852 presidential elections and was the 3rd party that its strength from New York. This party consisted of the anti-slavery members of the Whig Party and the Demographic Party. The mainstream aim of “Free soil” was to restrict the slavery in the western territories, arguing that free men arguing that free men on free soil comprised a morally and economically superior system to slavery.
