*Pro-Boxing hat-trick*
The Star Boxer Vijender Singh, of India, is the former World Championships and Olympic holder of a bronze medal, maintained his rank in the professional circle by bagging a victory against Bulgaria's Samet Hyuseinov by knocking him down in the row of third in just less than two rounds in England. Vijender was the first-boxer in the Indian history who have won the Pro-Boxing League in a hat-trick.
About Vijender Singh:
He was born on 29th of October in 1985, is popularly recognized as Vijender Singh is a professional boxer bestowing his contribution for this nation India, is a recent WBO Oriental Super Middleweight Champion and WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion from Kaluwas, Bhiwani district from the city of Haryana. He pursued his education from the same district and achieved a bachelor’s degree. At the Bhiwani Boxing Club, he practiced enhancing his skill for boxing which was recognized by his coach Jagdish Singh and motivated him to choose boxing as his career. Jagdish Singh is the Indian Boxing Coach and coached Vijender Singh.
Bagged medals in several competitions at the national championships, he was chose to train for the competition at numerous International Level of Championships which are the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. In the Asian Games 2006 organized in Doha, he bagged Bronze medal post losing the Semi-Finals against Bakhtiyar Arttayey, Kazakhstan. In the Beijing Summer Olympics 2008, he beat Carlos Góngora, of Ecuador scoring the point as 9-4 in the quarterfinals which accumulate him with a bronze medal and he showcased his prime ever Olympic Medal in the boxing genre for India.
Later his win, he was granted with the numerous awards, which included the Padma Shri Award, as the 4th highest civilian honor and as in regards with the achievement of India’s highest sporting honor, he was honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. In the year of 2009, he also took part in the World Amateur Boxing Championships where he bagged again a bronze medal. In the very year, he also participated in the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and declared Vijender as the top-positioned boxer in the yearly middle-weight category with the points of 2800 respectively. He also obliged the representation of Indian Country in the Olympic Games 2012, London.
On 29th of June, 2015, he signed-off from his professional career as the amateur due to his multi-year agreement with Queensberry Promotions by the way of IOS Sports and Entertainment. Well, in the year of 2016, he was ruled out of the Olympics as he was no longer an eligible candidate as the aspirant.
He got hitched on 17th of May 2011 with Archana Singh and was gifted with one kid recognized as Arbir Singh.
