*Shesh Anand Madhukar*

Shesh Anand Madhukar, a Magahi Writer was honored with Sahitya Akademi Bhasha Samman Award 2018, who has been dedicated to the enhancement of the language.

He is been the second in the rank to be awarded this honor which was awarded to him by the President of Sahitya Akademi, Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, the award is been comprised of a memento and a cash prize of 1 Lac.

Madhukar is been dedicatedly involve in the development of the Magahi Language. Starting of his career as a Hindi Lecturer at the BSK College, Methan in the year of 1966 and eventually he turned into a remarkable professor and reader at the Saint Columba College, Hazaribagh. Later in the year of 1960, he entered into the field of Literature, since then he has immensely contributed his work for the enrichment of the language which was proved when his phenomenal work has been published in the Literary Magazines. Talking about his skill in Hindi, “Magahi Kavita Ke Bimb”, “Bhagwan Birsa”, and “Eklavya” was in demand. The popularity of his books reached up to a level where his books have been the part of Graduate and Post Graduate Syllabus of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh.

AboutMagahi Language:

Magahi Language is also been recognized as Magadhi, which is very common among the people of Jharkhand-Bihar region belonging to the Eastern Part of India. This language is been derived from the Ancient Language Magadhi Prakrit, which was the part of the Ancient Kingdom of Magadha. This language was believed to be spoken by Gautam Budh. This language officially is also been the part of Mauryan Court, in which edicts of Ashoka was been formed.

Bhasha Samman:

Well, this identifies the honors for the Literary Work in Languages which was equally been the part of different communities of the country, around 24 regional languages are been recognized for the Sahitya Akadeni Awards. This award is completely been dedicated to acknowledging the work of the writers of various language so as to make them feel the essence of equality.
