Descriptive attributes are those attributes that help in describing the relationship. They are also referred to as relationship attributes and are also used for storing information about the relationship.

What is descriptive attribute in ER model?

The entity sets: CUSTOMER and ACCOUNT are interconnected using a relationship set ACCESS. It is described as a many-to-many relationship because a customer can have many accounts and thus, an account may belong to many customers. Here LAD (Last Accessed Date) is the descriptive attribute with many-to-many relationship ACCESS.
