The Statue of Liberty is a massive neoclassical sculpture located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, New York. The copper figure was sculpted by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi as well as its metal structure was erected by Gustave Eiffel as a present from the citizens of France to the citizens of the United States.
