the method or procedure or a set of steps of  Quality control (QC)  are executed to ensure that a manufactured product or performed service sticks to a pre-defined set of quality criteria or fulfils the needs of the client or customer.
QC can be said to be  similar  but not identical with, , quality assurance (QA). but it is different aspects to understand.
